I know we are all marveling at the fact that we are about to be knee-deep into the month of October. The fact that in a few weeks we will be cursing Daylight Savings Time for making it pitch-black outside waaaay too early, is mind-blowing to say the least.
But on to October…
Here are some fun things I want to do this month:
Drink as many Pumpkin Spice Lattes as I can before either A) Starbucks stops carrying them or B) I literally want to hurl at the sight of them π In all seriousness, I freakin’ love these things, and although I am really not going to have one every single day of the month, I will definitely have more than two. Or three…
Make pumpkin muffins. Every year, this is a tradition in my household. Go to Trader Joe’s, buy muffin mix, make muffins, proceed to inhale all the muffins π Hey, I’m not one to break tradition; you gotta do what you gotta do!
Take my daughter to the pumpkin patch. We always have a good time π
Watch “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown”. I loved watching this as a kid, and I really enjoy watching it with my daughter.
Make Halloween shaped cookies. I have the coolest baking tin that has shapes of Halloween characters like a witch, ghost, etc.. and it is fun to make the cookies in these shapes.
Start watching Anaheim Ducks games because IT IS OFFICIALLY HOCKEY SEASON!!!!
Take my daughter trick-or-treating while simultaneously trying to stop my husband from eating the candy she has collectedΒ π
What fun things do you have planned for this month?
October is definitely one of my favorite months. These are all good things to look forward to doing. We enjoy going to the pumpkin patch too, although the girls are getting older and soon won’t be so interested. Seasons change, even with our kids.
Yeah, I can see as you head into the teenage years, they might not find the pumpkin patch so fun, lol π
I’m so glad I’m actually not a fan of PSL’s because it would probably hurt my wallet too much, even though strangely I love pumpkin anything! I love that muffin mix from TJ’s but I’m really trying to avoid buying anything unnecessary this month to recover from last month. I’m saving it for one GIANT slice of pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving. I still do love this month though! And hope this weekend is the last of the heat wave!
I hear ya about TJ’s, I purposely only bought the coffee and muffin mix, because it’s easy to go crazy in that store and spend, spend, spend, especially with their specialty items π
I was thinking to myself, “She didn’t mention Thanksgiving.” But that’s because you celebrate in November : ) October means Thanksgiving to me, and I’m looking forward to an extended family turkey meal at my sister’s place this weekend.
That sounds wonderful! And now I can’t wait for Thanksgiving π
LOL I think I’m the only one that likes the time change because I can actually run outside in the morning and not have it be dark! π Which pumpkin patch are you going to? We’re going to Bates Nut Farm soon. I hope October is a blast for you – enjoy all that pumpkin goodness! π
Ha, I can see how the time change would be beneficial to you π
We are going to a pumpkin patch near our house. I always love doing that, it’s like fall has officially begun! π
Can you believe that I have never had a pumpkin spice latte? Even though I’m not a huge pumpkin fan, it seems wrong, ya know? I might have to fix that this season! I always thought it was so much fun to carve pumpkins but my Mom thought it was so messy, which, of course, it was! But that’s what made it fun! Have a great weekend!
Oh my gosh, you totally have to have a pumpkin spice latte, stat!! π They are sooooo good!
