So, I have a lemon tree! Fantastic, I know! 😀 When we moved last month, we moved to an area with a lower cost of living so that we could rent a house. Living in an apartment is all good, but we were growing out of it. Hence a house which happened to come with a fabulous lemon tree!! Super cool, I know! I see lots of lemonade in the future this summer 😉
In other news, my Ducks lost in the 1st round of the hockey playoffs 😦 I was devastated honestly… I really am a diehard fan, and this year just really seemed to be our year to take the whole thing, and now it’s just over… Still bummed but what are you going to do, right?
The weather has been warming up considerably here in SoCal, which is nice. And now I have a backyard to spend those warm days in! Happy, happy, joy, joy 😀
I’ve also been reading blogs, yo…
Here are the posts I got a kick out of this week:

Have a great weekend everyone!
Wow I’m blushing! Thank you so much for sharing my post! So glad you enjoyed it!
You’re welcome Cat! Your post was awesome 😀
A lemon tree is awesome. Considering how many lemons I go through in a week (and I’m not even talking about my car-lol!!!). Now you just need an avocado tree and I’ll be ready to move in. 🙂 Sorry about the Ducks (well sort of ) but I think Chicago might walk all over Detroit in this series. 😦
Yeah, it’s so cool to have this lemon tree. I am looking forward to making lemon anything! 🙂
That’s definitely an interesting match-up, Chicago and Detroit. We’ll see what happens!
I want a lemon tree! I’m so jealous 🙂
Ha, I still can’t believe we have one! 🙂
Ugh Canucks were the very first NHL team to be eliminated this first round!!! Talk about double whammy heartbreak for J and I lol. Homemade lemonade is the best in the summers! Thanks for including my post! Have a wonderful weekend lady!
It totally sucks when your team loses in the first round. You’re yelling at the tv saying “No, not yet! It’s not over yet!” Ugh…counting the days till pre-season.
Have an awesome weekend GMD 🙂
Oooh, that lemon tree looks awesome! That’s great about the yard, too, so your little one has some space to run around in. Great set of links and I hope you have a great weekend, Mackenzie!
I am soooo glad we finally have a backyard for her to run around in! Kids need space, you know? And the fact that it happened to have a lemon tree, well that’s just an added bonus 😉
Have a wonderful weekend Anna!
I would love a lemon tree, so jealous. Thanks for the mention and your kind words – really appreciate them! Have a wonderful weekend!
You’re welcome Shannon! You know I think you are all kinds of awesome 🙂
Have a great weekend!
I’m so jealous of your lemon tree. Our relatives have one and a lime and tangerine tree. I do have a fig tree, does that count? Ha.. have a good weekend.
Hey, any kind of tree counts! Ha 🙂
Have a great weekend!
Now I feel much better!! Cheers you too mate!
😀
Thanks so much for the mention Mackenzie, I really appreciate it. That’s awesome you have a lemon tree, though something tells me our little ones would not understand the need to leave them on the tree til they’re ripe. 😉 Have a great weekend!
You’re welcome John!
Oh you should see my daughter; she grabs the lemons that have fallen off the tree and then throws them as if they were bouncing balls. It is so funny! 🙂
Have a good weekend!
That lemon tree looks awesome! I wish fruit trees could grow up here in Chicago. I am growing some rasberries and green peppers though, so we’ll see how they do this year.
Raspberries and green peppers sound awesome! I wish we could grow those 🙂
I love fresh lemonade and it is one of the reasons why I am growing a lemon tree. Unfortunately mine is a little bit small at the moment, but hopefully in a year or two we should see some produce.
Good luck with your lemon tree, Glen!
