August…the last full month of Summer. And what better time to get rid of some stuff than right before the madcap flurry that is the fall season?
My goal for the month of August is to get rid of 31 things. That’s right. Get rid of one item per day. 31 days, 31 things. I know that I have more than 31 things I could get rid of, but I want to make this goal simplistic in its idea and in the numerical number.
Once September comes, it seems like until January 1st, there is no rest for the weary and the last thing anyone is thinking about is de-cluttering. So my idea is to get it in now, before Fall ushers in pumpkins, ghosts and goblins.
At the end of the challenge, I’ll list all 31 things that I got rid of.
Want to de-clutter your house? Join me and get rid of 31 things!
Don’t get rid of the blocks! π
I won’t! π
That’s a great challenge! Ah August…I can’t believe how this summer is flying by!
I know! Can you believe it? It’ll be Labor Day before too long….
What a simple, but great, idea! Are you going to try to profit from de-cluttering? You should! Sell that stuff you don’t need.
If I can sell an item, than I definitely will do that! I have a feeling some of these items are going to end up in the trash or recycling bin π
Awesome idea! But what does “getting rid of” actually mean? Are you donating the items? Selling them on eBay or Craigslist? Tossing them in the trash? I may do this as well.
Depends on the item… If it is an item I can sell, than I will try to do that. But some are trash, like the broken wine corkscrew that has been hovering in a drawer in my kitchen for quite awhile now. π
Love it! I am coming up with another challenge for myself,s tarting Aug. I am loving yours. Mine will be so different. I will be closely watching this challenge. It will be interesting to see what goes. And what stays. π
Ha! Thanks Aloysa π
