We sold our Ab-Circle on Craigslist! We’ve had it for 3 years now and it was purchased with good intentions. But unfortunately the only thing it has been good at doing lately, is collecting dust. So, bon voyage Ab-Circle! Enjoy your new home!
Last month we didn’t have an electric bill and this month our bill was $4. I wish I could say it’s because I have superpowers but it’s actually because we had a credit on account. Usually if you are a good customer with a particular utility for at least a year or so, sometimes they will refund the deposit to you. Or in our case they applied our deposit to our monthly bills. Yay!
Babies R Us sent me a coupon for $5 R Us dollars. So I used it to purchase some Gerber snacks that my daughter likes. All I paid was sales tax!
We are moving to a new apartment & I am happy that the water/trash will be paid for by the landlord. As any apartment dweller will tell you, any utility that you don’t have to pay for is truly a good thing!
We gave all my daughter’s old clothes to the Salvation Army. Babies go through clothes so fast and I had quite a few bags to give them. It was something that was on my to-do list for quite a while and I am glad it is finally taken care of.
Any random frugal things happen to you this week?
YEAH!! I am on a mission of Fitness for Free. The more I started looking at it, the more I realized there are alot of freebies (classes, promos, etc) to be had — screw buying a pricey membership! Also – I changed my own car headlight, saving myself at least $50.
That’s awesome! Saving money where you can, especially in this economy, is truly a good thing!
Great frugal wins! Especially the utility bill one, that’s a big saver.
My husband is a college professor and we’re currently waiting for his pay to kick back in after the Christmas break, so it’s been all frugality around our house.
This week I’ve been working on using up my old gift cards.
Yeah, no utility bill has really helped our finances this month. I wish I had some gift cards to use! 🙂
I love random frugal things because they’re all about money saving 🙂
I’m doing a no (low) spend January to try and start the year off right.
Hmmmmm, I may look into a no (low) spend month at some point. Great idea 🙂
